(Without Going To A Four Walled Church Building)
A very important message for Christian Home Schoolers
and Christian home Bible students
We all know that the way of the Earth is eventual death. Creatures are born, they live out their lives, and then die. We also know that men are subject to the same death as the lower created beasts.
God's Word tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:19 "For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity."
Like a thief who has entered the house of time and space, the laws of the Earth in its sinful state rob its creatures of perpetual life.
John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy"
Rom.5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men (Adamites), for that all have sinned:"
But a plan to overcome this dilemma was devised and implemented by Yahweh Almighty by sending His Son to free His chosen family from this death doomed state. In conquering death, Jesus promises that death will not be able to permanently hold any those for whom He has come. The very next sentence of that verse reads:
John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy... I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
Exactly who is "THEY" that Jesus Christ refers to? He clearly tells us that too, although the big business churches of the world system do not like to hear it. Churches have created God in their own image and will demand that their "God" maintains the modernist liberal view of righteousness and equity. However, the Holy Word of our Bible reveals that the "THEY" chosen for salvation is not everybody on the planet. The Bible explains in Matthew 15:24 "But He (Jesus) answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
This prime directive is changed nowhere in the Bible message--- EVER! This selective premise is laid down from the Old Testament, through and including the New Testament.
"Hear this word that Yahweh hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" (Amos 3:1-3)
Do you as a Christian agree with God in that He only knows Israel out of all the different families of people in the earth? And that it would ONLY BE THE WHOLE HOUSE OF ALL ISRAEL, Jacob's offspring of the tribes of Israel and Judah, with whom He would make the New Covenant in Christ? Do you walk together with God concerning this truth, or do you walk away from the truth as He lays it out for us?
"For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
For finding fault with them, He saith, Behold, the days come, saith Yahweh, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith Yahweh.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Yahweh; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:" (Heb.8:7-10)
But, someone will argue ... the preachers tell us that John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Excuse me --- "God loves everybody in the whole world"? That's not what Yahweh God tells us in His written Word. The Apostle Paul clearly refutes the "universal love" doctrine as he describes God's position on this:
Romans 9:13 God Almighty says --"As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."
Obadiah 1:18 "And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for Yahweh hath spoken it."
According to the Bible, the House (family line) of Esau is not privileged for "salvation" which Christ clearly says is only for Israel and no other family. Yep, that's what it says--- God does not love the family of Esau but He does say that He loves the family of Jacob and wishes to save them from everlasting death. King David was called a man after God's own heart. (Acts 13:22) David loved people and he hated people (not just "I hate the sin, but love the person" as the liberal theologian would insist). Read about the people King David righteously hated in Psalm 139:19-24. Certainly there is "A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace". (Ecclesiastes 3:8) These are Biblical facts of life not readily discussed in denominational Bible study meetings.
"Oh" you might say --- "I could never agree with a God who would say such a thing!" Are we the Creator? Do we know all "unknown" aspects and details of the eternal universal layout of all things from the beginning of time? Do we know all reasons and issues of cause and effect that have influenced the great cosmic plan of existence from "day one"? Has not Yahweh Almighty declared, "For He saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy." (Romans 9:15,16)
Let's get one thing straight. We didn't create ourselves, and we are not in control of all existing matter. We are not "big enough" to challenge The Almighty on His selective salvation for Israel only. Do we, (who live less than a hundred short mortal years on a planet where wars, greed, disease, injustice, are the common modus operandi), have the right or wisdom to challenge The Almighty Creator of the entire universe? Yahweh Himself provides the answer.
"Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood." (Isaiah 10:15)
Comment: Some may still be quite upset (although needlessly) asking "But what of the races other than God's Israel people? What happens to them? Dear reader, quite frankly we are not told in the Scriptures, nor is it necessary for us to comprehend it or to conjecture. We simply do not know! We have enough problems trying to take care of our own undisciplined ways. But whatever it is, all the different families of people have been created for a purpose and we must have confidence that a perfect and all knowing Creator has them all under His watchful eye, as He does all His creation, and will conclude all things according to His benevolent plan. The Bible is more than clear, to the dismay of universalists and communalists, that it is exclusively the "rule book" as it were, for only Israel. It is a FAMILY BOOK, just like a book about your family which you may have on a fireplace mantle or in your family home library. It's just the way it is, and nothing can or should wish this truth to be reversed! It is Israel's job to implement God's Kingdom government in the Earth and not to be concerned with non-applicable issues beyond our knowledge or concern. Let it go, and trust Yahweh.
But don't we have a choice to chose Jesus? No dear Christians, we don't "chose Jesus to be our personal Savior" as the TV evangelists promote. Nowhere in the entire Bible is anyone ever told to "chose Jesus or to accept Jesus as their personal Savior". Christ chooses you if you are chosen. You don't chose Him. His words are clear on this too; "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, He may give it you. (John 15:16)
Also
"--- But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of Yahweh, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:" (2 Thessalonians 2:13)
And still ---
John 15:19 " If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."
Well you say, "My preacher reads Romans 1:16 - 'For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.' Was your preacher nice enough to explain that in the Greek manuscripts this word "Jew" here is IOUDAIOS meaning "Judean" (Strong's #2453) referring to a geographical location, a country, and NOT to another family of people? And that the apostle Paul was specifically teaching here that not only Israelites who live in Judea are called to Christ, but those Israelites living in the Greek nation states are also called, as are all of Israel scattered throughout the world? Furthermore, the word "Gentiles" is actually "Ethnos" (Strong's #1484) literally "Nations" in the Greek text and does not mean "non jewish". (Greek Word elements pg.27, Sacred Greek dictionary reference points out: Ethnos=Nations) The Gentiles were the people of Israel who were dispersed out of the area of Judea and migrated up into Europe and became the white Christian nations of that continent! The prime directive of Christ's salvation was not violated by the Apostles. The Apostles taught Christ and Christ laid down the rule: "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the House of Israel" (Mat.15:24)
Aha --- this brings us back to John 3:16 "For God so loved the world ---" misquoted and used by the born again crowd to attempt to convert everybody on the planet to their brand of "Christianity" when Christ Himself said that He only came for Israel! What do we make of this? Is this a so called Bible contradiction? Does the Bible actually teach "God so love the world ---" then turns right around in the Epistle of John and commands us:
1 John 2:15 "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him."?
Don't we find it a bit hypocritical that God supposedly "loves the world" but does NOT want us to love the world????? If not hypocritical, then how about just downright confusing?
Is the conviction of sin by the Holy Spirit meant for everybody in the world as the preachers say? or is God's Word truthful when Jesus Christ tells us that the world CAN NOT RECEIVE the Holy Spirit???
John 14:16 & 17 "And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you".
This whole seemingly contradictory position that "God so loves the whole world" yet "hates the House of Esau" and "Sent Christ only to Israel" is completely cleared up when one realizes that the corporate churches have withheld from the people the truth that the Bible speaks of "two worlds" or two systems of operation. This the state licensed preachers have kept mute so that they may have large congregations and even bigger paychecks on Sunday by bringing "everybody" in the front doors. Modern preachers teach a world communal or a COMMUNIST brand of "Christianity" that did not come from the Bible.
However, in light of John 3:16, let's see precisely what the Bible reveals about the dual "worlds" with which we must contend if we are ever to grasp what it means to really be a Christian. There is a "world of the ungodly" in rebellion against God, AND there is a "world of the godly" which is in accord with God. These two "worlds" must be differentiated in the scope of any Scriptural context being quoted. Those who are of the world of the ungodly are mentioned often in the Bible as noted in Psalm 73:
Verse 8 "They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches (unlawfully)."
16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
18 Surely thou (God) didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
19 How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
And also in we see from II Peter 2:5 & 6 that God caused the great Flood in Noah's time:
"And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;" (II Pet.2:5,6)
Contrary to the world of the ungodly, in which people are NOT chosen for salvation but for eventual destruction, we find the "godly world" established by the King of Kings, Jesus the Messiah of Israel. This is an opposite world or governing body in contrast to that held by the world of the ungodly. Furthermore we must understand that the Bible teaches that a conversion of the ungodly world into the godly world is not an option in Yahweh's plans. Rather triumph and victory OVER the heathen ungodly world is what the Bible declares.
Psalms 96:10 "Say among the heathen that Yahweh reigneth: the world (i.e. Yahweh's World) also shall be established that it shall not be moved: He shall judge the people righteously."
"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. ----- And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God." (Rev.19:11 & 15) This is a reigning Kingdom in the Earth which installs a "world of the Godly" OVER that of the "world of the ungodly". Thus, here is what God's Scripture truth reveals: It is this specific "world" (the world of the Godly) that "God so loved" and to which He sent His Son in John 3:16.
Psalms 93:1 "Yahweh reigneth, He is clothed with majesty; Yahweh is clothed with strength, wherewith He hath girded Himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved"
God's particular "stablished world" is in reference to divine government of the House of Israel that will be established and not moved as it will be placed in the earth as a solid Kingdom ruled by Christ. It is the "world of the Godly".
" For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His Kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. (i.e. "not moved") The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will perform this. Yahweh sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel." (Isaiah 9:6,7,8)
Yes brothers and sisters, If you are of Israel your Heavenly Father beckons you to come out of the "world" that He, Yahweh God, HATES; and you must get into the "world" which God LOVES and sent His only begotten Son to die for. It is the world of goodness where you are meant to have blessings, wisdom, safety, love, and closeness with your Heavenly Father. It is a world of your happiness that God has made for you. The only thing that keeps you out of this divine world temporarily is constant disobedience to the laws of your Father, namely unconfessed and unrepentant SIN! Furthermore, one can't "mentally guess" at what sin is. To find out what sin is, the Word of God must be read and understood, for "sin is transgression of the law" (I Jn.3:4). The written Word is your guidebook on how to get out of the ungodly world and get to where you belong, --- in the Godly world of the government (family, neighborhood, national kinsmen) of Jesus Christ your King. The Scriptures also compare the world that God hates to that of the world He loves as being different "temples" or different governing houses:
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith Yahweh, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith Yahweh Almighty. (II Corinthians 6:14-18)
This is the same directive as with the "two worlds", namely, get out of the world that God hates and get into the world that He loves. If we don't do this, the Bible says that we can not know The Creator as a Father. One may go to "church on Sundays" and try to fool themselves that they are in God's world (Kingdom, Temple), but the Bible teaches that unless one is of the House of Israel and repentant of their sins (that is, cheerfully and willfully desires to obey God's laws), they are not in the divine Kingdom (that is, the Godly World.)
Futhermore, it is easy to get into the proper World made for you --- just recognize the gift of eternal life given to you freely by Jesus, turn away from the world of the ungodly, and ask Father to guide you into an ever-growing walk on the road of His Kingdom. This does not mean that you must avoid people. It means that when somebody (whether friends, family, neighbors, visitors) crosses your property line that they are entering into a zone where the convictions and laws of your Father/King are IN FORCE to the best of your ability; and that when you leave your property those laws and conviction of the Holy Spirit go with you in your heart as you travel among the "other world". Those that say they are "Christian" but have no desire to keep God's laws have deceived themselves. Yes, it is a true statement that eternal salvation can not be "earned" by trying to keep the law, as we all fall short. Salvation is a free gift from God through the Cross of Jesus. (Rom. 6:23) However, Jesus tells us that if one is truly called into His New Covenant, that the proof is seen in a heart that makes a good faith attempt to be obedient to God's commandments. When we fall short and stumble we have forgiveness by the blood of Christ. But sin no longer rules and dominates a Christian's life.
John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
John 15:10 "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."
1 John 2:3 "And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments"
1 John 3:22 "And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight."
1 John 5:2 "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments."
1 John 5:3 "For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous."
Romans 3:31 "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."
Let's regroup our thoughts for a moment and slow down ---- We have seen that God's Word says that eternal salvation is a free gift from Jesus to all of Israel. God knows the specific reasons why salvation is limited in scope and not "universal". The proof that one has become aware of this salvation, is that he/she loves to keep God's law. The keeping of God's laws shows divine love within, and exemplifies love for God's world. This "world" is the world which God loves so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for. (Jn 3:16) It is this truth which removes all supposed contradiction of the Scriptures on this matter. It is the truth of Yahweh above the carnal faulty reasoning of theology, a function of the sinful mind which is opposes God's ways. The modern church clergy have been wrong -- John 3:16 is not for "everybody". It is for the world of the Godly (Yahweh's household which needed redeemed and was), and it is not for the world of the ungodly. Scriptures teach us that the world of the Godly will not "convert" the world of the ungodly, but on the contrary, the world of the ungodly will be conquered. Amen
A question of self examination: Are you really a Christian or do you just think you are?
Are you truly in "the Faith"? Are you setting an example of God's world for others of Israel that are lost due to entanglement in the ungodly world of churchianty (sadly, a major deception), politics, materialism, pagan holiday celebration, unlawful eating habits, race mixing, avoiding daily Scripture reading, lack of prayer, worship of money, distraction by everyday living, etc.,etc.? Have you made a viewable path for your misled family of Adamic Israel brothers and sisters lost in the wrong world ---- which path they can follow to Christ and to LIFE as opposed to following a corrupt world into DEATH?
Answers:
How To Tell For Sure Which World You Follow; the Death World or the Life World?
Are you really a Christian at heart or do you just have a "head knowledge" by which you agree with a few "Bible things"? All you need to do is to check your heart strings to tell if you REALLY are a Christian, and to KNOW FOR SURE that God lives within you by the Holy Spirit. What does this mean? How does a person check their heart strings?
I remember reading a story once of a spelunking expedition group in Austria who got buried inside a cave as an avalanche covered the entrance. After losing battery power in their lanterns they unsuccessfully groped about for over a day trying to find their way out. As nearly all hope was fading, one of the group members became even more frightened as a large furry animal appeared out of nowhere so close that its breath was in his face. As it turned out it was a rescue dog, a 200 pound St. Bernard! Between the group members they had several hundred yards of rope which they tied to the dog's collar. The St. Bernard turned and ran back to the entrance winding through myriad passage ways far ahead of the exploration group itself. The lead member of the expedition had a firm grip on the extended rope even though the rescue dog was now nowhere near the lost party. Hand in hand still in the dark, the members of the group kept asking the leader "Are we going in the right direction? --- upon which the leader replied "Just follow me, I can't see the dog but I can still feel him tugging and he's leading us the right way!"
This is exactly how one chosen by Jesus Christ knows that they have the witness of the Holy Spirit in their heart. There is a constant tugging on the reasoning, emotions, and desires of the heart to go towards the Kingdom (world) of God. Like that rescue dog, you can't see the Holy Spirit and you will never be able to show the Holy Spirit to a non believer, but you know God has got hold of you from His abode and He keeps yanking you when you make a turn in a wrong direction. Not only does the Holy Spirit tug on your heart, you WANT TO HOLD ON and follow for dear life! That my friend, is how you know that you are in touch with Jesus! If you do not feel this tugging on your heart, you need to seek Christ in solemn prayer, confess your sins to God, receive the Holy Spirit, repent (change your ways), and start walking in the right direction --- continually! The answer is certain to come --- You will know when you have the witness of the Holy Spirit leading your life. (not just pretend on Sunday) You will know because even if your friends and family badger you into participating in wrong doing, that "Spiritual tug" on your heart strings will be telling to follow Yahweh in spite of the annoying harassment and criticism! Just do it --- follow The Word, and let the misguided whiners throw their tantrum! The blessing that The Father will give you will be greater than having the temporary and fleeting peace with those who don't know any better. Go with the "Spiritual tug" that tells you "this way", and KNOW that it is a life filled with divine rewards!! Step out in faith, and step away from the pressures of the non-believers and critics.
"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:" (Romans 8:16)
" But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)
OK, now you're tied in (the rescue line has been attached). What now?
Have faith and be sure.
Read the First Epistle of John --- all of it. (A different book than the Gospel according to John, although that is vital too) Yahweh Almighty gave us this book so that we can be sure we are walking in His world of the Godly and that He will not forsake us. This Epistle will seal your faith beyond doubting ,as your Father of eternal life wants your heart to be overwhelmed with His assurance. Absorb the contents of this book and contemplate on it.
[While we're at it-a quick note on I Jn.2:2 "And He (Jesus) is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." Do not be misled. The Scriptures are consistent and do not contradict themselves, even though this verse has been used by "universal salvation" teachers. This verse does not mean that Christ died for all the inhabitants of the world. Again, there is a world of the Godly (those destined to be called; Eph.1:4,5) and a world of the ungodly, never to be called(Mk.4:11,12) First century sacred Greek language experts agree that John is referring here to the whole world of chosen believers in other areas in addition to the local believers to whom he was writing. There is CLEARLY a "world" that Christ DID NOT include in His propitiation and for whom He did NOT pray. Please see John 17:9-11. That this Greek idiom "whole world" is repeatedly used in a localized and limited context is also noted where Rome issued an edict that all the world be taxed (Luke 2:1) which tax was limited to the Roman Empire and did not apply to all the other empires of the globe at that time. More on this in a separate study)
John's Epistle begins:
"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full." (I Jn. 1-4)
The book of the First Epistle of John is a book directly from our Father's heart to yours that you can have ASSURANCE that you have been rescued from everlasting death and that you are "tied in" to the Kingdom world of Jesus Christ and are an heir to LIFE EVERLASTING. Read the Word, get the big picture, and start living like a rescued son or daughter of Yahweh Almighty. Be joyFUL that you are so privileged! Listen to those heart strings. Read the Word daily, then go where "the tug" of the Holy Spirit tells you that divine obedience is to be found.
Start with one step at a time walking further into His Kingdom World each day. You might begin with following the good dietary laws and getting away from the unclean foods that harm your body. You may take another step and get rid of the pagan holiday settings in your home such as the heathen "Christmas tree" or the "Easter Bunny". You may go on to hallow the true Sabbath Day. Remember, obedience is the proof of God's love in your heart. If you fall and break a law commandment, confess the sin to your Heavenly Father by the blood of Christ and forgiveness is instant on His part. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (I Jn.1:9) Just pick up where you fell and start again. Yahweh God wants you to be happy about all that He has done for you!!
"These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." (John 15:11)
Trust Yahweh and His Word to live in the World of His Kingdom Now.
There is nothing more demonstrative of love in a relationship than trust. There is nothing worse than betrayal. If you are a helping friend, and someone asks you to be in a certain place at a certain time to help them with a needed hand, they trust that you will be there. They know they can count on you, and you know that you would not let them down. In a marriage, one way that love is expressed is through trust. Loyalty is not called into question when trust binds the marriage together. Trust and love walk arm in arm with each other.
I have noted a great error in the position taught by some that we "must trust in Jesus", or as they say, "you have to believe in Jesus". We have wallowed in this error because of poorly obtaining a correct understanding of Bible verses that mention for us to "trust in God". At times, the Hebrew and Greek languages can not be directly translated into English without some significant loss as to the meaning. The phrase "trust IN", is such a case. What the Prophets and Apostles meant was far more than a glossed over sound bite to "trust in God/Jesus". The preposition "in" as a Hebrew description, only exists within the tense of a verb. There is no separate word "in" in Hebrew. This applies to several Greek verbs as well, but there is a Greek word "EN" (Strong's # 1722) which occasionally denotes "in, among, by, with, through", all in a wide variety of applications. Yet even this word "EN" is not used in the Greek texts that advise us to "trust in Jesus, the Father, the Word, etc".
Since Yahweh God loves us and has proven that love by manifesting His being through Jesus Christ, and dying to cancel out our debt of sins, He now wants us to TRUST HIM, not merely to trust IN Him, as is usually and poorly translated in our English Bibles. The difference is great, and understanding or not understanding this difference can result in a greater or lesser personal relationship with Yahweh God Almighty. Many people trust IN Jesus, however only the true son or daughter of God actually "trust Him".
A person can trust IN the fact the Jesus lived and died on the cross. They can trust IN the fact that Jesus was a teacher of good. They even take the advice of some of those "good things" and try to do them for a while . They can trust IN the truth that Jesus argued with the Pharisees, walked the streets of Jerusalem, and is the central figure in the New Testament. A person can TRUST IN all those things, yet it matters little. Such a person who "trusts IN Jesus" can still not have the Holy Spirit in their heart. They actually have a "head knowledge" of these things which they have confused with the true indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the heart (the inner most thoughts, desires, and will of the person). What Yahweh's Word teaches in the Hebrew and Greek text is that we must trust Him at His Word, not merely believe that it is He that has spoken those words. Paul expresses this in his writings to the Hebrews.
"For both He that sanctifieth (Jesus) and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. And again, I will put my trust upon (Grk. Word here "Epi", not "En") Him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me." (Hebrews 2:11-13) Many Bibles still translate this verse as "trust IN", but such is in error and misses the entire important point of what Paul expresses. "Epi" denotes a total reliance UPON.
This means a total surrender of our doubts, reasons, and emotions to the Word of Yahweh who came as Jesus in the flesh. Jesus Himself equated lack of faith with not believing (trusting) God's written Word explicitly. When He had risen from the dead and appeared to certain among Israel, they were confused as to what had happened. Christ said to them, "
"O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself." (Luke 24:25-27)
We might each ask of ourselves,
"Do I completely trust Jesus and the Word of Yahweh?"
Do I trust Jesus at His word, and trust upon (not in) what the Word says about Him? and do I trust that Yahweh Elohim knows what is best for me? "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." (Proverbs 14:12)
Do I totally trust that Jesus died for my sins and that He was raised from the dead?
"But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (Romans 8:11)
Do I trust Jesus when He says, "I am only sent to Israel"? (Mat.15:24)
Do I trust Him when He says that EVERYTHING must come SECOND to dedication to Him or we are not one of His. "So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple." ( Luke 14:33)
Do I trust that the Bible as originally written by the prophets and apostles is the infallible Word of God? "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16)
Do I trust Jesus when He says that if I don't forgive others that God will not forgive me and He will not answer my prayers?
"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Mat.6:14,15)
Do I trust Jesus when He said that He did not destroy the Law of God by a New Testament and we must still keep the law?
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven." (Mat.5:17-19)
Do I trust Jesus when He tells me that the Kingdom of Heaven is not off somewhere in a celestial plane, but is a nation right here on Earth?
"Therefore say I unto you, The Kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." (Matthew 21:43)
Do I trust Jesus when He tells me that doing things His way leads me into a more life filled existence on all fronts?
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)
Do I trust the Almighty when His Word tells me that the test to see if I "know God" is that I learn and keep His commandments? "And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments," (1 John 2:3, KJV).
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
This is the life of a Christian, a real Christian in whom is found the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of Yahweh. This life is a total surrender and willing agreement to the Word of God. It is not a "forced love" irritated at the prospect of "having to obey the Bible". This Spiritual agreement with the Most High is the LIFE OF YAHWEH IN US, HIS CHILDREN. If a person does not have this LIFE EVIDENCE they are as good as dead and are even called the walking dead by Jesus. (Mat.8:22)
A "head knowledge" that Jesus lived, that He was a prophet, that He taught good things, and that we should incorporate a few of those things into our lifestyle does not reveal a person who is a true Christian, a joint heir to the divine Kingdom with Christ. Many church goers today fall into this category. They believe in Jesus, but do not believe Him that is, they don't trust Him. (especially the warnings He gave us about the unbelieving Edomite Pharisee jews in high places. Mat.16:12; 23:2-4; Jn.8:41-44). These pseudo Christians are still in their sins and are not following Jesus by trust!
If you are a Saxon person from a Christian family background then most likely you are an Israelite for whom Jesus the Messiah came. If you have had only a head knowledge of your Savior and your life has resisted the call of the Holy Spirit, know for certain that you can, in an instant, awaken to your destiny --- a walk into LIFE with Jesus Christ as your King and Master. Trust Him, confess your sins to The Almighty, acknowledge the salvation He has secured for you, and repent (it does no good if you do not change) Do it NOW!!
"For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2) Ask the Holy Spirit of Jesus to rescue you from the darkness of a death doomed age and begin to feel the holy tug on your heart strings. Follow it! Read the Word daily and ask for guidance. It's leading you home --- into the divine Kingdom of the Godly World and LIFE!
