THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH

---  KHUFU VALLEY  ---

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

King David --Psalm 23:4

It is the proposal of the 91st Day solar calendar doctrine that the pinnacle event of the Great Pyramid is its marking of the Vernal (Spring) Equinox since the Pyramid casts no Sun shadow at noon on that day.  Therefore that event supposedly starts the calendar New Year at noon in Egypt.  This however IS NOT the pinnacle or most notable event related to the Great Pyramid's tracking of the celestial movements. As takes place on the Vernal Equinox day, likewise the Great Pyramid on the Autumnal Equinox casts no shadow either. Therefore the Equinox event is not a singular occurrence.  Of all the strange qualities surrounding the Great Pyramid's "watching" of the heavens, the greatest by far, with absolute intent of its designers, is the architectural triple shadow alignment of the three main pyramids in unison, as they cast a combined "shadow of death" on the winter solstice day, historically know as the "dead season" as far back as man's records go.   The winter solstice is the shortest day of the year and has the least amount of daylight.  The ancient Egyptians believed it was the time of Osiris's final celestial entombment for the year, only to be born anew as the following days found the Sun starting "to return" on its journey back to the warmer months of longer daylight.

The shadow produced on the winter solstice points to the Khufu Valley Temple region where Egyptology records presume the tomb of the Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops) to be located.  The Winter Solstice, not the Vernal Equinox, is the end and beginning of the three Giza Pyramids' astrological memorial to the "heavens". Even observing this from outside of the Egyptian religion, we are reminded of the Bible law for looking at the testimony of witnesses.   "But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established." (Matthew 18:16)   That's OUR key of Saxon Israel to see what the pyramid builders were really up to.

The three combined shadows of the Pyramids Menkaure, Khafre, and Khufu, speak loudly as to the importance of the Winter Solstice as THE momentous event of the year!  The agricultural year for the Egyptians started with the overflowing of the Nile River each year as the river deposited black silt in the lowlands fertilizing it for planting crops.  This was in early July and the Egyptians tied the annual Nile flooding with the helical rising of the star Sirius.  Therefore the agricultural or "civil" year was based on Sirius' rising in the heavens and started  in early July.  The Egyptian sacred solar year however was based on the gods Osiris, Isis, and Ra along with the story of life, death, and rebirth of these gods whom the Egyptians saw in the sky.  The winter solstice on or about December 21,22 was the pivotal point of that story.  On the winter solstice each year the Khufu Valley below the Giza Pyramids becomes the "Valley of The Shadow of Death" (The Winter Shadow) as the giant shadow points to that location, and temple services to the Sun gods commemorated this day.   The below aerial photo was taken in the 1930's or 40's and appeared in Archeology Magazine along with an article by Dr. Zahi Hawass, premier Egyptologist and lecturer on ancient Egypt. [ Dr. Hawass web site:   http://guardians.net/hawass/ ]    It is not known who the pilot or photographer was but they obviously were airborne to specifically  track the shadow phenomenon of the winter solstice.  The view is directly above, and the sun is at its lowest point on the southwest horizon.

As far as King David was concerned, the complex of the Pyramids, it's Temples, and it's religion, were all aspects "OF EVIL".  Being very learned about the area and the history of what Israel went through at the hand of the Egyptians, it would be the worst place that David could imagine he could walk alone.     "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil --- (Psalm 23:4)

"Neither said they, Where is Yahweh that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?" (Jeremiah 2:6)

Not only was Egypt known by King David and Jeremiah in those days as being the land associated with its pyramid event of the "shadow of death", the footnote in John Gill's Expository, shows that mamzer nations also attached this term to Egypt.  In a strictly geographical reference and not a spiritual one, the Edomite jew Rabbinic tradition on Psalm 44:19 reads:

"According to Arama, the 'place of dragons' denotes the captivity of Egypt, which is the great dragon; and the 'shadow of death', he says, was a name of Egypt in ancient times, as say the Rabbins; and observes that #Ps. 44:25 explains this; see #Ge 3:14."

We further know that King David's 23rd Psalm was a comment about the Egyptian captivity since the "comfort" that David was trusting was Yahweh's "Rod and staff" ( v.4)  This is a reference to the rod which Moses held in in hand as the instrument of Yahweh's power, which rod was also symbolic of the shepherd's staff by which He protects and guides His sheep.     "And Yahweh said unto him (Moses), What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. ---  And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs." (Exodus 4:2,17)   While the Egyptians were served their portion of death on that destined Passover night, we know that Yahweh long before had "prepared the Passover meal table" in the land of Egypt.  "Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies"(v5).  What became a feast for the Israelites became death for the Egyptians.  They had their Pyramids, their sky gods, their Pharaohs, their sun calendar festivals, their armies.  Israel had the shepherd who protected them and led them out of Egypt, away from the celebrated Valley of the Shadow of Death.

There are those today that choose to voluntarily walk in that valley of the shadow of death, returning to the land of the Pyramids as guidance for their Sabbath and Feast Day times, 91 days apart like the Mayans and other non Adamic non Saxon races do.  King David calls that area of Egypt an evil land where he would rather not be, and if he WERE there he expected to be rescued FROM it by God's rod and staff.

"He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake" (Psalm 23:3)(that is -- out of Egyptian bondage and the traps of worldly ways)

"Thus saith Yahweh, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein , and ye shall find REST for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein." (Jeremiah 6:16)

The 91st day calendar group will never find rest as The Word of Yahweh causes that system to be forever "tinkered with, just one more time" each year or every few years to correct that "final flaw" that will make their system work. ( But it won't)     It is like an addiction to the mind, and it will never be figured out, although they will proceed on forever seeking the solution.  I have seen these sort of calendars many times over and they are shear exercises in futility and frustration for the poor souls caught up in them.

We at Faith of the Covenant Fellowship have complete rest and trust in Yahweh's true solar calendar which is "a done deal".  It remains the same from year to year to year.  Yahweh has finished it for Israel long ago and we need not search for another path. Jeremiah (above) said that if one finds the "old path --- the good way" there will he find REST.  Rest comes within the Sabbath.  The 91st Day calendars do not rest, as periodically, just when they think they've got it, a day pops up that presents a major problem.  I am speaking from experience and I have seen this first hand in other assemblies.

Shall we walk in the path of the Great Pyramid of Giza, the hewn stone altar of the heathen with its Sun calendar dedicated to Orion (Osiris) and its triple death shadow pointing ultimately to a valley? or do we walk in the path of Yahweh's sacred solar calendar with its timely story of redemption as easily seen in the Bible by counting the days He has openly given us?  We are not going to see anything but graves and death in a dried up valley.  Following Yahweh's Sabbaths and Feast Days throughout one's life leads the regenerated believer in another direction than a downward valley--

"And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,"

(Revelation 21:10)

 "For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased;

and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted"

(Luke 14:11)

[ The Great Pyramid exemplifies man's efforts to exalt himself

to the "heavens".  The Saxon Israelite believer needs not a man made

structure to "illuminate him at high noon" as to special days.  The faithful

need only to humble themselves with a contrite heart before the Cross,

for the  Holy Spirit is promised to teach that person about the Sabbaths,

and other truths from The Written Word.  The hand hewn "spiritist

towers" of the world shall be abased and all be brought down.  ]
