PREFACE Yahweh's solar calendar for Saxon Christian Israel is under an aggressive attack by those promoting a "91st Day Sabbath Solar Calendar" agenda. For no apparent reason, several of their leaders have contacted me recently and have accused me of intentionally "forcing and manipulating days of the calendar months" just to make our solar calendar system work. They have also suggested that I present evidence that their version of the solar calendar is in error. What would prompt them to make such a challenge at this point in time I have no idea. We here in Virginia assemble for the Sabbaths and Feast Days according to the plain and simple commandments to do so in the written Word of Yahweh Almighty. We have also been quite content for many years to not "stir the creek bed" of this controversial subject by directly challenging other groups who differ from our understanding. People will do what they want to do, and Yahshua will repair our differences when He returns. Our position on the Sabbath is opened for all to study at www.solarsabbath.org and we maintain the web site as our Christian duty to teach what Yahweh has revealed in the Scriptures concerning this matter. However a serious concern has entered into the arena of the Sabbath subject. That is, the long ago established beliefs, philosophy, and dogmas of the ancient heathen Baal priesthood have once again surfaced among our people. Those beliefs concerning calendar times and Sabbaths are mathematically attractive, logically deceptive, and curiously seductive to the questioning mind that wants answers, but is in haste to reach proper conclusions. Without diligent care, Baal teachings can be easily mixed in (adulterated) with partial truths taken from the Scriptures. This apparently is the case with the overt challenge this Fellowship has received from those who have contacted us about their "91st Day Sabbath Calendar". We have been using the Biblical solar Sabbath Day program (the Hebrew solar calendar system) for nearly 17 years and it has proven itself to be a solidly fixed and unwavering system for honoring Yahweh's Holy Days according to the Bible. The calendar presented within the pages of our web site and in the audio tape Sabbath Lessons we offer, sustains itself on an annual basis as a repeatedly accurate perpetual Sabbath calendar. It has guided us well, not because it is "our calendar", but because it is Yahweh's calendar. It was never my intention to use this web site to list personal names of clergy, other ministries, or independent publishers, who hold to a different Sabbath than do we here at this Fellowship. I will continue to hold to that position, and out of common courtesy no individual names will be mentioned herein. To do so would be pointless and would achieve no purpose of value. It is false doctrines we are encouraged to expose in contending for the "Faith once delivered unto the saints". (Jude 1:3) However since those leading the charge in promoting their "91st Day Sabbath Solar Calendar" have issued me a direct challenge, then I am obliged to answer. For this reason, let us now enter into an appropriate examination of precisely what doctrine the "91st Day Sabbath Solar Calendar" is found to be resting upon . Let's deal with the doctrine and the doctrine alone. What have we here with the "91st Day Sabbath Solar Calendar"? Please remember, I did not initiate this controversy, but I will now comment exhaustively on the subject, since asked to do so by its advocates. ----- Kenneth W. Lent |
